The one-hundred-percent privately owned Taiwanese airline is the sister company of Evergreen Marine Corporation, one of the five biggest container shipping companies in the world. Since the inauguration of its maiden flight on 1 July 1991, EVA Air has been steadily expanding its operation network and fleet.

The death from asphyxiation of 71 asylum seekers mostly from Syria in August 2015 could have been avoided if Hungarian authorities had intervened sooner, concludes a joint investigative report workgroup of Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) and regional public media companies Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) and Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), reports Hungarian news site index.hu.

The government will launch a child support scheme next year to help all Hungarians around the world, Human Resources Minister Zoltan Balog confirmed in Canada. Starting in January 2018, every Hungarian mother, no matter where they give birth, will be offered a “baby bond” which involves a oneoff support and the possibility to take out a low-interest loan subsidised by the state until the child ...
