The opposition Socialist Party will appeal to the Constitutional Court and to the ombudsman over changes to the municipal election system in Budapest as proposed by the ruling Fidesz party. Csaba Horváth, Socialist group leader of the capital, told reporters that his party will work to prevent the planned changes from taking effect.

The Hungarian government will spend a 4.7 billion forints on the pavilion representing the country at the 2015 World Expo in Milan, government commissioner Géza Szőcs said on Tuesday. The planned pavilion will “powerfully present Hungary’s themes, and the design is appreciated by both the Italian press and architects,” he said.
