We haven’t talked about the tobacconist shops lately, although there is quite a bit to be said about them. First and foremost, that as the result of the newly restricted availability and the price hikes black market sales of cigarettes have soared in the last couple of months. Fewer and fewer people are buying cigarettes at the designated stores.

Hungarian stork Ménes accused of being a spy was first arrested then was killed and eaten shortly after its release in Egypt last week. The man who found and gave Ménes to the police thought the bird was an undercover agent because it carried an electronic device.

Police detained Szelim Simándi, a founder of the Together party, and fellow activist János Somlai on Friday after they wrote “Royal Wedding 2013” in English on a newly filled-in pothole outside the Buda church where Ráhel Orbán was to be married on Saturday.
Two Killed In Gyõr Basketball Team Bus Crash

The team manger and coach of the Gyõr women’s basketball team were killed when their bus crashed head-on into a car and ended up in a roadside ditch on Saturday. The car had swerved into the oncoming lane on route 85 between Kapuvár and Vitnyéd as the bus was carrying the team to a friendly game in Sopron.
