The new tax will not impose even a penny worth of new burden on subscribers, Fidesz’ press office said, adding that the party would propose amending even further laws to this effect, if need be.

State hospitals in Hungary will not be allowed to offer private services, the state secretary for health care said on Wednesday. Gábor Zombor told a conference that the government had decided that state and private services must be separated in health care and the national health fund will not support private services.
