The biggest equestrian festival in Hungary is arranged every year in Budapest at the majestic Heroes Square. The first National Gallop was held in 2008, and since then became a very popular event filled with Hungarian culture, featuring action filled horse races.

The Hungarian Jászság Folk Ensemble was established in 1971. The members of the group live in Jászberény, which is a town 80 kilometers far from the Hungarian capital city, Budapest. In the beginning of the ’90s, the Csángó Festival was the first to open the doors to the minority cultures of surrounding countries.

Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu recommends an interesting programme: the Castle Park in Dinnyés introduces the castles of Hungary and, uniquely, the models were made of the same material as the original ones they represent. The historically and traditionally significant Castle Park in Dinnyés was opened in July 2014, as after a long process of research and preparations the constructions began in 2013.

On display until 31 July. The exhibition is realised in the frame of Dunapest Festival, a regional art event organised for the first time, presenting the rich and variegated cultural life of cities laying along the Danube. A special focus will be on the connection between the city and the river.

Attila Kovács, a shoemaker from Miskolc, Hungary, took the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the European Championship of Handmade Shoes, which is held in Wiesbaden in every three years, szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu wrote. Kovács also won the award for the “World’s best shoe.”

From the Island of Mohács the „devils” still come on boats, according to the legend. Those arriving by boats walk to Kóló Square to join the rest, and then all proceed through the streets, mixing in with the audience along the way.

NEBIH (National Food Chain Safety Office) Special Affairs Directorate checked a meat wholesale business in Pest county at the request of NAV (National Tax and Tariffs Office) Pest county Tax Directorate. During the procedure more than 22 tons of meat-product was seized by the professionals, and they also discovered a gyros producing facility operating without a license, origo.hu wrote.
