The seven-month number was up from less than 55,000 in 2014 or little over 48,000 in 2013. In July alone, 9,728 homes changed hands, down 21.3% from the same month a year earlier, Duna House said.

According to the indictment, Árpád Székely, ambassador at the time, had signed contracts of the sale of a property in 2008 without his superiors knowing. The other accused were trying to cover up his acts.
