The Alliance of Young Christian Democrats (IKSZ) has demanded the removal of a statue of Karl Marx from the entrance hall of Budapest’s Corvinus University. “It is unacceptable that Marx, who openly espoused anti-Semitic and racist views, should have a statue in Hungary,” Milán Pálfalvi, the deputy head of the organisation, told reporters in front of the building on Monday.

Most Families Better Off With Utilities Cut In Hungary, Says Think Tank

The financial position of 62% of families turned for the better after the government-mandated utilities price cut, a fresh poll by think tank Századvég said. Ninety-nine percent of those polled was aware of the reduction scheme, 78% agreed with the cuts while 21% opposed them.
