Unbearable Noise: Campaign Launched Against New “Musical Road” in Hungary
Newly elected local independent politician Zsolt Petrik is launching a petition to abolish the recently built “musical road” on Route 21 between Hatvan and Lőrinci, HVG reports.

The road, which plays the song “Nélküled” by Ismerős Arcok when vehicles use it, has been disturbing local residents with excessive noise.

The petition highlights complaints from residents of nearby villages such as Zagyva-szántó and Lőrinci, where noise has become unbearable, disrupting daily life and sleep.

The unpredictable sound, depending on vehicle speed, has been especially harmful to young children.

Environmental concerns have also been raised, with ornithologists warning that the noise disturbs birds and wildlife.

Residents are calling for the removal of the music road or the construction of noise barriers to mitigate the disturbance.
