Born 13 May 1942, he was a successful fencer in his youth, going on to win two Olympic gold medals. Later he became a politician, and served as President of Hungary from 2010 until his resignation in 2012. Today he is one of the 100 or so active members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

I've been living in Budapest since February 2015 and until very recently was working in the tourism industry. I came here with a total blank slate of almost zero knowledge about the country so have enjoyed learning about its history and culture, as well as meeting many fascinating people.

Mr. Dyer joined The British International School, Budapest as Principal in 2015. Before moving to Hungary he started as a mathematics teacher in London, then headed overseas in 1986. He held leadership positions in five different British international schools in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Vietnam over a period of 30 years.
