Balog: Office Against Persecution Of Christians To Coordinate Humanitarian Schemes

The government has set up a deputy state secretariat in the Ministry of Human Resources to combat the persecution of Christians around the world and to coordinate humanitarian schemes, the minister said. One-third of the world’s population is Christian, the most persecuted religious group, Zoltan Balog told public news channel M1 and public radio Kossuth.

South Korea’s Samsung SDI will invest 100 billion forints (EUR 322m) in a plant in Göd, north of Budapest, to produce batteries for electric vehicles for European markets, Hungary’s minister for foreign affairs and trade announced. After serious competition from other countries in the region, the investment in Hungary will create 600 jobs, Péter Szijjártó said in Budapest.

Output of the Paks nuclear power plant’s Block 1 was back at 100% early in the afternoon on Friday after a control system malfunction was corrected, a plant official said. The block was automatically shut down on Thursday morning due to the malfunction.
