There's been something of a right wing love-in in Hungary this week, as Budapest hosted a Conservative Political Action Conference - or CPAC - gathering of American and European populists and conservatives. President Trump heaped praise on Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who's seen as a populist playbook for the White House.

Orbán recently doubled down on his agenda - banning the capital’s Pride march and proposing a law that could shut down independent media. But with his rival Peter Magyar surging in the polls - are those actions a sign of strength or weakness?

The organization’s leader, László Csizmadia, confirmed on Tuesday that the police have been notified of the plans for the demonstration, which traditionally draws hundreds of thousands of supporters of the Orbán administration.
