Legendary footballer Jenő Buzánszky, the last surviving member of Hungary’s Golden Team of the 1950s, has died at the age of 89. “I am proud to have played in the world’s best football team that everyone has remembered ever since,” he said in an interview given to MTI in May 2011.

The CEU Women's Soccer Club was founded in 2009. While we mostly just scrimmage once a week for fun and exercise, you have a chance to play in competition twice a year at CEU Fall Sports Day and CEU Spring Picnic.

The radical nationalist Jobbik party on Tuesday called on the government to cancel measures introduced to control soccer fans. Deputy leader István Apáti said the legal rules in question have caused a drop in the number of spectators, lower ticket sales, fewer sponsors and decreased revenues from television broadcasts, which means clubs losing income in the range of 100 million forints.
