German companies operating in Hungary continue to feel satisfied and optimistic about their business, a recent survey by the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DUIHK) shows. In almost all answers, managers were even more optimistic than the already very good results of the chamberʼs survey published in April.

A patient had to wait 18 hours at the emergency ward of Budapest’s Jahn Ferenc hospital, RTL Klub reported on Monday. The patient and an acquaintance arrived at the hospital at 4 p.m., but had to wait for their turn until 10.45 a.m. the following day.

The opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) is launching a signature drive to bar Hungarian citizens who have never lived in the country from voting, Ferenc Gyurcsány, the party’s leader, said. Those who have never lived in Hungary do not bear the consequences of their votes, Gyurcsány argued, adding that his party was not aiming to strip them of their citizenship.
