Hungary’s foreign ministry will press The New York Times to quote its statements in connection with an article which appeared in the US daily, claiming that a Syrian refugee woman was “beaten unconscious in a Hungarian prison”, daily Magyar Idők reported. Snowfall caused disruptions throughout Hungary on Monday. Road accidents were many and trains were delayed, though no flight cancellations were reported from Budapest’s international Liszt Ferenc airport. Runways at the airport are being continually cleared of snow and only minor departure delays are expected due to time taken to defrost aircraft, Budapest Airport spokesman Mihály Hardy said.
