October 23 is a national holiday in Hungary, commemorating the 1956 revolution against the Soviet rule, which was later crushed by brute force. The uprising began as a spontaneous nationwide revolt against the government of the Hungarian People’s Republic and its Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from 23 October until 10 November 1956. The University of Szeged is rated Hungary’s best higher educational institution in the annual global rankings list of the UK daily The Times. The south Hungary university was placed amongst the world’s best 551-600 institutions, making it the country’s only educational body in the global top 600.

The title of the exhibition (Was auch der Fall ist) comes from the second half of the first proposition in Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus,, broadening its meaning towards what exists beyond what exists, and also referring to the artist’s preceding exhibition of the same name.
