480 participants started the ’Wacky Races’ and the most of the racers arrived to Bamako although not without real hardships. Blood pressure of the racers remained normal on the European section except some regular repairs. The racers arrived to the African continent on the third day.

25-year-old Hungarian ice skater Viktor Knoch has written history by coming first on 500 metres at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships, held this year in Eruzum, Turkey. His victory marks both the first World Cup win for Hungary in the sport and the first World Cup medal of his career.
