Csárda & Kéknyelű: Traditional Hungarian Inn & Rare Grape Variety Declared Hungarikums

Hungary’s Committee for Hungarikums has recently added two new treasures to its prestigious national register: the csárda, a traditional Hungarian inn, and Badacsony kéknyelű, a rare native grape variety grown exclusively in the Lake Balaton region. These are now officially recognised as Hungarikums – exceptional elements of Hungary’s cultural and gastronomic heritage.

As a new thematic unit at our permanent exhibition, we present white marble statues that exemplify types of nude representation, made during the period from the turn of the last century to the 1920s.
