The State Treasury’s IT experts immediately disconnected the infected servers after detection and took the necessary measures to prevent further damage, the State Treasury said in a statement.

Based on the information available so far, no data was lost during the incident, and the cyberattack did not affect client data managed by the State Treasury, it added.

As a result of the incident, files on the computers of some internal users and staff members were encrypted.

According to current expert information, the attack originated from Russian servers, the statement said.

A full investigation into the incident is under way with the assistance of experts from the National Cyber Security Institute, and the incident has been reported to the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH), the statement added.

During the investigation, access to certain electronic services in the field of agriculture and rural development will be restricted, so the Treasury is asking users for their patience and understanding regarding any service disruptions that may occur.
