Ride-hailing company Uber has voiced concern over a bill that seeks to ban its services in Hungary. Zoltán Fekete, a senior executive at the company, said in front of the economy ministry that the ban which would include blocking Uber’s website goes against modern trends and innovation. Uber operates in 415 cities worldwide but its website is not blocked anywhere, Fekete said.

NAV has so far conducted 250 inspections in the form of “test rides” and levied fines of 3.6 million forints (EUR 11,500) during the period, it said. Hungary’s National Transport Authority (NKH) has so far issued more than 100 licences for the commercial use of unmanned aerial vehicles, business daily Világgazdaság said. The licences cost 19,000 forints (EUR 61) apiece, while a one-time permit for the use of air space is 3,000 forints.
