Attila Ambrus, the man who gained fame as the “Whisky Robber” in the 1990s, was released from prison this Tuesday. Ambrus stole a total of Ft 196 million from 28 banks, post offices and travel agencies from January 23, 1993 and October 18, 1999 after moving from Transylvania to Hungary.
Qatar Airways Starts Direct, Daily Non-Stop Budapest-Doha Flights

"Qatar Airways has today commenced direct, daily operations between Budapest Airport and Doha, expanding the previous four times weekly schedule, introduced in January, and dropping the stop-over in Bucharest, Romania. The new frequency is an excellent enhancement, welcomed by Budapest Airport and its passengers.

Mr Melles has been the Country Manager in Hungary for Air France KLM since August 2009. Originally from Székesfehérvár, he was born on 5 January, and attended the Teleki Blanka Gimnazium until 1998. He went on to read Business Studies at the International Business School in Budapest. He then starting his fast-track career with Nestle in the summer of 2002.

"A recent survey by MasterCard indicates that Hungarian skiers are likely to spend the same amount of money on their winter vacations as last year and more than half of regular skiers plan to have two or more holidays at one of the ski resorts abroad. The primary destination is Austria followed by Slovakia, Italy and France.
