Police raided and shut down an underground gun workshop in Budapest, the national police said on its website on Friday. Two suspects, aged 64 and 52, were apprehended in the bust. The 64-year-old suspect was stopped by police officers in the 14th district on Thursday.

New Wave Media, publisher of daily online vs.hu, is set to purchase the business weekly Figyelő, reports 444.hu. The purchase would mark the latest in a string of acquisitions by New Wave Media, the media holding company owned by Tamás Szemerey, a cousin of longtime Fidesz member and current National Bank governor György Matolcsy.

After the Hungarian government scrapped the Sunday closings law that prevented retailers from opening on Sundays, the majority of retailers present in Hungary announced that they would open from May 8, while some retailers already opened for business this past Sunday, according to reports.

The head of Parliament’s storeroom is accused of stealing 90 computer devices, including seven brand new laptops belonging to Fidesz from Parliament and the MPs office building, website Átlátszó reported on Tuesday. Police found one of the laptops advertised on the internet and found the suspect through the seller.
