On 20- 21 September the Andrássy Avenue, the city’s grandest boulevard, will become the Gallop Promenade, presenting over 1,000 years of Hungarian history. The Association for Women and nearly ten NGOs are organising the demonstration outside Class FM at 3 p.m. on Sunday to protest the trivialisation of rape on the radio station. The Budapest chapter of the Christian Democrats said it fully supports the protest outside Class FM’s Üllői út headquarters Sunday afternoon, declaring it unacceptable that staff had been joking about a recent rape case.

One of the most threatening high-fatality-rate gynaecological tumours can be prevented with the HPV vaccine, Minister of State for Health Gábor Zombor said at a Budapest press conference on Wednesday, at which he announced that 7th grade girls will be offered free vaccinations against the disease.
