Two Korean opera singers open the 1st Korea-Hungary Classical Music Festival with famous opera arias and Korean songs. Yunah Lee, performing frequently at the US opera houses, is broadening her stage to Europe. She is thrilling the audience with “handsomely colored full lyric sound”. In the Hungarian National Anthem, the poet Ferenc Kölcsey (1790-1838) enumerated the most precious gifts with which God had blessed the country. Included is the wine of Tokay: “Nectar flowed, drops of pure gold, from the winepresses of Tokaj.”

German Matthias Dolderer won the historic 70th Red Bull Air Race in Budapest Sunday, tightening his grip on the lead in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship by winning an abbreviated race due to extreme weather conditions. Hannes Arch of Austria claimed second, while Australia’s Matt Hall came third.
