Fidesz Won 206 Mandates This Time, Election TBC 25 April
"Hungary’s centre-right Fidesz party has won 206 seats in Parliament out of the 386 available in the first round of general elections on Sunday, the National Election Office has said. The "race" will continue for the 121 remaining mandates in the second round on 25 April.

Fidesz won 119 mandates in single-member constituencies and 87 on regional lists, the election office said, having processed 99.18% of the votes. The 206 parliamentary seats correspond to 53.37% of total available mandates.



The Socialist Party (MSZP) has obtained 28 mandates (7.25%), far-right radical party Jobbik has 26 (6.74%) and green party LMP ('Politics Can Be Different’) came in fourth - it has won 5 mandates in the first round (1.30%).

A total of 5,104,174 people cast their ballots (on 11 April), which means 64.29% of eligible voters turned out at the polling stations. "
