Hungarian Painter's Munkacsy Biopic In The Works

"Preparatory work on a movie biography of 19th-century painter Mihaly Munkacsy is under way. Hungarian Oscar-winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond will work on the film alongside director Csaba Kael, who also directed the Hungarian opera film Bank ban.
The European co-production, A nap szerelmese (“Lover of the Sun”) based on two books about Munkacsy by Sandor Dallos, will be shot next year and may be shown in cinemas in 2012. It will be set in Hungary, Austria, France and the U.S."
