Metallica Fans Help Save Thousands of Lives in Hungary
- 5 Jun 2026 1:31 PM
As part of selected European stops on the M72 World Tour, Metallica is organizing blood drives alongside its concerts, including the two Budapest shows. The blood drives take place on June 11 and 12 at Budapest Arena.
Together with its foundation, the nonprofit charitable organization All Within My Hands (AWMH), the band is working with Red Cross to help ensure that hospital patients never have to wait for life-saving treatments.
Hungarian fans have been especially enthusiastic, with all available donation appointments filled weeks ahead of the shows, meaning the blood drive will operate at full capacity in Budapest.
The 2,000 registered Metallica fans blood donor could help save as many as 6,000 lives. Their donations can help accident victims, cancer patients, new mothers, people living with sickle cell disease, and many others in need of blood.
With this support, Metallica’s Hungarian fans have proven that they can be counted on not only when it comes to collecting unforgettable experiences.
Limited-edition merch for fans who come to donate blood available as a thank you to donors.
