The Art of Music Tour 26: Esztergom Basilica, 4 July
- 8 Jun 2026 3:53 PM
Set against the backdrop of one of Hungary's most significant landmarks, the opening event takes place beside the Danube as the sun sets over the Basilica.
The location, shaped by centuries of history and cultural significance, provides the setting for a performance designed to connect architecture, nature and music in a single experience.
At the centre of the project is John Mig, the artist behind The Art of Music Tour. What originally began as a long-running international radio programme has developed into a touring live production that combines electronic music with cinematic elements inspired by remarkable locations around the world.
Timed to coincide with sunset, each performance is shaped by the changing natural light, with evolving colours, soundscapes and rhythms forming part of the narrative. The concept aims to create an immersive atmosphere in which music and visual surroundings interact, encouraging audiences to engage with both the performance and the environment in a different way.
The Art of Music Tour is conceived as more than a conventional concert series. Each event is structured as a sensory journey, blending electronic music with storytelling and site-specific elements.
Historic and natural settings become part of the performance itself, contributing to an experience that is intended to be both visually and emotionally engaging.
The Esztergom programme will feature a range of electronic music styles, from progressive house to melodic techno, presented in one of Hungary's most striking riverside locations.
Organisers describe the event as the opening chapter of the 2026 tour, with the performance also forming part of a wider cinematic project that captures the atmosphere, energy and visual character of each location.
The concert offers audiences an opportunity to experience contemporary electronic music in a setting where history, landscape and performance intersect at sunset.
