Political Dailies’ Sales Slump Further In Hungary
"Tabloids Bors and Blikk posted rising sales in the second quarter, while the circulation of political dailies declined, according to the official figures of distributors association Matesz.

Blikk solidified its leading position in the market with an average daily circulation of 203,387 in the second quarter, 15,000 more than in the first three months.

Sales of all political dailies, with the exception of Magyar Nemzet, contracted in the second quarter. Népszabadság experienced the biggest drop in sales, down from 80,849 copies to 75,287 a day, in the second quarter.

Business weekly HVG sold 69,342 copies a week in the second quarter, basically unchanged from the first three months, while Figyelő saw its circulation drop 8%, to 12,383, in the April-June period."
