Budapest Ferihegy Back To Schengen Standards
"Ferihegy airport has regained its “clear” status from EU inspectors, meaning that passengers travelling within the Schengen Zone will no longer be treated as if they were coming from outside the zone. Ferihegy lost its Schengen status in June after inspectors found shortcomings in security practices.

If necessary, the government will create new regulations giving air transport security authorities broader scope to avoid a similar downgrade, said government spokeswoman Anna Nagy.

Meanwhile, the Budapest Municipal Court rejected Zóna Taxi’s request for the liquidation of Ferihegy operator Budapest Airport, because the taxi company had not given the airport operator a written request to pay its overdue invoice."
