Budapest Public Transport Company Cancels Passenger Insurance
- 3 Jan 2012 8:00 AM
"The BKV has cancelled its passenger insurance contract with Generali-Providencia, to save Ft 50 million, the Budapest public transport company announced last week. The company said it is in a difficult position, while maintaining the insurance policy is not economical, and is not required by law.
The statement went on to say that passengers with valid tickets or passes will not be uninsured, as the BKV's liability insurance provides cover if the BKV is at fault."
