Two Hungarians Kidnapped In Syria
Two Hungarians were kidnapped in Syria early Saturday, prime ministerial spokesman Péter Szijjártó told reporters. They were kidnapped when gunmen stealing equipment from the headquarters of a company in eastern Syria came across them unexpectedly.

Hungarian ambassador to Syria János Budai and Samir al Sheikh, governor of the Deir ez-Zor region, agreed to travel to the zone on Thursday.

There is a good chance that the hostage situation will be resolved peacefully despite the fact that the situation in the region is one of a civil war, Szijjártó said.

The Anti-Terrorist Centre has been working on the case since the two were kidnapped.
