Convicts At Work On Hungary's Culture State Secretary's Land
Convicts from a nearby jail are employed on the winery owned by culture state secretary László L. Simon, picking sour cherries and removing weeds for very low wages, Népszava reports. Simon told the newspaper that it is hard to find workers and convicts make up for a shortage of labour.

He said he does not know how much the convicts are paid for their work.

According to the corrections institute, they are paid Ft 20,000 a month, one-third of the minimum wage of the previous year.
