Restaurant Days In Budapest, Now On Until 21 Nov.
Diners can explore a select set of popular Budapest restaurants at discount prices, and sample special offerings from the town's top chefs during 'Restaurant Days', all thanks to local expat Alex Van Damme. His 'Éttermi Napok' special event will run from November 14 until November 21, and features more than 50 of the top restaurants in Budapest, each offering unique three-course menus. So what's the catch you may ask? None, except reservations must be made online via TableFree.hu, a free site that showcases over 150 of Budapest’s most-loved restaurants.

Cuisines include traditional Hungarian, International fusion, Chinese, African, Mexican, Continental, Indian, Italian, Japanese, and others as well. Participating restaurants include some of the best known places in the city, like The Gresham, Nobu, Olimpia, Peppers, Trattoria Toscana, and Baraka in Budapest, along with many up-and-coming restaurants like nU Bistro (recommended, example dish pictured).

Curious diners can visit the TableFree.hu web site to see the menus being offered during the TableFree Éttermi Napok event. Whilst diners must reserve their tables through TableFree in order to take advantage of the special menus; although there is no added charge for using the TableFree web site to make a reservation.

The Budapest restaurants involved can offer menus for either 3.000 HUF or 5.000 HUF, some restaurants are even offering menus at both price levels, to give diners even more choice. Apparently nU Bistro will serve up a 4+2 course menu too.

Many of the restaurants participating in this TableFree event seem to be taking the opportunity to impress diners with the creativity and quality of menu offerings. Some restaurants in Budapest are offering their signature dishes at a lower price than normal, while others are offering mouth-watering dishes created specifically for the event itself.
