Restaurant Review: Trattoria Toscana, Budapest
On the menu: Warming up your soul: A pleasant dinner in a cozy Tuscan restaurant might be our chicken soup for the soul…er, rather hearty Tuscan tomato soup, on chilly evenings. Come on in and give it a try.

As autumn arrives, we might find ourselves in a nostalgic mood, recalling the memories of past and previous summers. Evenings get colder we fondly remember lazy, sunny late afternoons, sitting with friends and family around the dining table, sipping good wine… perhaps in a romantic place like Italy. If you can relate, why not try an atmospheric restaurant that brings back this calm, sun-shiny feeling... Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

Trattoria Toscana has an authentic Tuscan atmosphere that is unique in Budapest. It has been for many their favorite Italian restaurant in town, presenting a consistent, top quality dining experience for nearly 12 years.

“Offering high quality food is one of our most important aspirations. We cook from fresh, carefully-selected Italian ingredients, provided by exclusive suppliers we have developed relationships with over the years. On this we do not compromise.” says Robert Longworth, part-owner says about their approach to food quality.

The restaurant is located along the Danube River, with a beautiful panoramic view to the Gellért Hill and the Buda Castle. Service is freindly, waiters greet us upon entry and find the right level of service until we leave. Their attentiveness means there is no need for flagging them down, as is necessary most places.

The interior is a cozy mix of a rustic Tuscan street view and a classic, tidy dining room with casual brown paper table covers. The environment is suitable for every purpose, from a romantic dinner to business lunches and a fun night with friends to a lovely family dinner to celebrate a birthday. Sunday afternoons are great for families with a clown to entertain the kids so the parents can enjoy a relaxed lunch and chat.
