Hungarian Court Upholds Right To Assembly
The city of Budapest abused its powers when it reserved all important public areas where large demonstrations and remembrances could have been staged last March 15, the Constitutional Court ruled on Tuesday.

LMP had filed a complaint after the party’s planned assembly on Heroes Square was disallowed and the Capital Court turned down its appeal, saying it had no authority in the matter.

This was the first time that the Constitutional Court has overturned a lower court decision.
