The restaurants, in turn, benefit from increased business and name recognition. 15% of the proceeds from the sales of the card will be donated to the Hungarian Red Cross, to fund that organization’s humanitarian work through Hungary.
“We’re very excited to bring the Haszon Kartya concept to the gastronomy market in Budapest,” said Alex Van Damme, one of the founders of TableFree KFT. “We know the card brings wonderful benefits to restaurants that get to enjoy increased promotion, public exposure, and customer turnover through the TableFree restaurant marketing platform.
We at TableFree are very proud that the Red Cross has accepted to be our charitable partner for this new project. In this way, diners and restaurants who participate in the Haszon Kartya program can take pride in knowing they are supporting a range of worthy causes through the Hungarian Red Cross, which benefit the entire country.”
„It is a great pleasure for us that well known names of the gastronomic market can also join the circle of supporting partners” – emphasized István Kardos, Director General of the Hungarian Red Cross at the press conference in Marriott on Wednesday. “The donations will help us improve food supply of people who lost their homes. As part of our social support system, we provide around 700 000 portions of food a year to vulnerable people. Food prices are increasing year by year, the situation of our social support institutions is getting harder, we have to find alternative methods of financing.“ – the Director General said.
The organizers had nice surprises for the participants of the press conference. György Kozmann, famous Olympic champion in canoeing was present, who took part in a spectacular gastro-show, cooking together with Antal Harsányi and József Tamás, chefs of Marriott Hotel.
