Gang Of Car Thieves Uncovered In Hungary

Hungarian and Austrian police have uncovered a gang of Hungarian and Ukrainian car thieves, operating across all three countries. Barnabás Balogh of Szabolcs county police said the suspects generally stole very expensive cars in Austria, then had them disassembled in a Nyíregyháza workshop before selling the components in Ukraine.
The gang is estimated to have stolen cars worth Ft 300-400 million in total.
Four Ukrainians and two Hungarians have been detained.
Burgenland crime director Erhart Rainer said Austrian police have caught one Ukrainian suspect.
