Mr. Masala Opens New Indian In Budapest
Mr. Masala is the name of the new low-key eatery in Budapest’s 3rd District which serves up hearty Indian food. It’s worthy of mention due to the quality/price ratio, which is very favourable for hungry diners. The ready-made lunch range is quite varied and great value, ordering from the extensive menu produces fast and satisfying results too. Anita Moorthy was very impressed, as she commented online, “Just had an awesome lunch at Mr Masala - tandoori rotis, Shahi paneer and kalimirch chicken! Topped off with Gulab jamun. Fantastic food, kudos to the chef!”

What Mr. Masala may lack in atmosphere – the interior has a basic café feel – it makes up for in authentic yet inexpensive Indian delights, cooked up by an expat chef. As guest Vineet Kumar simply put it on Mr. Masala's Facebook page, “My GOD, your food is so good.”

Local expat Sanjay Sharma is the man behind Mr. Masala, he also runs a few 'Masala Market' stores around Budapest. His mini spice-markets include different varieties of rice, Indian sauces, exotic drinks, imported fresh vegetables and fruits, plus some cosmetics and Ayurvedic products.

Sanjay says he imports from a range of countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and that all food products have flavour-locked packaging to retain the original flavour and taste.

Clearly he's got the stock needed, so here’s wishing Mr. Sharma the best of luck with his new food venture, and his strategy of offering high quality at the lowest price possible, long live Mr Masala!
