Restaurant Review: Hot Pot In Budapest - Wang Fu Restaurant
Wang Fu restaurant is one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in Budapest. Not like the other typical Chinese kitchen, in Wang Fu they not only serve hot pot but also Korean hot plate. It is located right next to the 1 tram on the Hungaria krt having its own parking lot in front of the restaurant.

Walking in to the restaurant, we will see a fridge where the samples of food selections are presented. There is no need of menu where we can choose only from the description of food types, but the vegetables, meats and seafood are shown in front of you. Language is not necessary in this type of restaurants, if you are worried about choosing drinks it is also placed right next the food fridge so you can take it yourself without trouble.

After entering the door, there will always be a waiter coming up to you asking about what you would like to eat. If you want to try the hot pot then you will be able to choose from the three pots: 1. spicy;2. clear soup or 3. half of each. You can order the foods right away or coming back to the food fridge after choosing your preferred seat. Dishes will be ready in about 10-15 minutes and then you will be the one ‘cooking’ your own dishes.

You don’t have to know how to cook in Wang Fu, and there is no worry if you want to take a break in between, the hot pot or the hot plate will always be ready for you to start again.

For any restaurants serving hot pot, the most recommended season is winter or the days when the temperature is below 25.

An average meal for 2 people will cost around 8000 ft.

Address: 1146 Budapest Mimósz u. 15.
