“The Kapuvár store is only functioning on a trial basis for now and the success of it will determine whether or not we can open more outlet shops, therefore, this concept has limited access at the moment,” says shop owner Ákos Bedő.

The successful business first opened in Pápa (historical town in Veszprém county) in 2008. Soon after they expanded their activities into the wholesale trade, which led to the now burgeoning franchise partner-programme. Thanks to the rapid expansion (30businesses within 2 years), their plan is now to conquer foreign markets.

The company is mainly looking for partners with suitable storeroom areas from neighbouring countries such as Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Slovenia. Distance sometimes can cause some difficulties, but they have already managed to open a store in Slovakia, and also have people interested from Romania.

“The strength of the Irish second-hand clothing system lies in regularly updated stock and a continuously renewed supply,” says Bedő.
