Contemporary Jewels Exhibition, Károlyi Castle Hungary, 9 - 10 Nov
The aim of this exhibition is to show the contemporary metamorphosis of the art of jewelry. Sometimes, the jewel becomes a unique artwork – not a wearable ’accessory’. We wish to contribute to give the the Hungarian artists – including the art students – outside the capital, the opportunity to show their work and get in touch with new audiences and to enhance the interest in the art of jewelry and its craftsmanship.

“Beauty, elegance, gaiety, humor (with good taste) are the leading ideas of the contemporary jewelry exhibition which will take place in the Fehérvarcsurgói Károlyi château during only two days on November 9th and 10th with a “nocturne” on Saturday night. Students from the Moholy Nagy Art and Design University, Budapest are also invited to take part, documentary exhibition, meeting with the artists themselves, round table with professionals (in English and Hungarian) , among others: Monika Brugger, Artist and goldsmith, Professor, head of the jewelry studio, ENSA-Limoges, Mag.Veronika Schwarzinger, Galerie V&V, Verein V&V&V, Vienna,Visy Dori, goldsmith, Zoltán Tamás, Master Goldsmith,(Saturday); Fekete Agnes, Art historian :” A brief history of jewels”; Kakas Péter : “The world of diamonds” (Sunday)

The patron of the exhibition is the famous opera singer Miklosa Erika
