Representative circle of international experts
The mission of VinCE Magazine and VinCE Budapest is to put the spotlight on Hungarian oenologists and wines by inviting experts from all over the world to taste and become familiar with Hungarian wines. After honourable guests from past years, VinCE Budapest Wine Show now hosts ten members from the 60 year old Institute of Master of Wine along with more than a hundred international experts.
1000 Wines of 160 Exhibitors
Between 28th February and 2nd March wine lovers can taste wines and spirits of Hungarian icons and also delicacies of more than thirty gourmet exhibitors in Hotel Corinthia.
This year the most well-known wineries and Villány wine region exhibit together under the cooperation Pannon Bormíves Céh, at the stands of Somló guests can get to know the characteristics of the terroir through its greatest whites, and numerous other curiosities. Hams and hand-made cheeses along with the confectionaries of Gerbeaud and La Praliné await the hungry. Those seeking for more knowledge may also attend some of the 30 masterclasses and workshops.
Sparkling wine bath
Taste oyster with cava or macaron with sparkling wine! Discover the Russian sparkling wine – this year VinCE Budapest offers sparking wine courses each day. Abrao-Durso, the Russian winery debuts on Friday followed by György Márkus, the most recognised Champagne expert in Hungary who presents blanc de blancs – great champagnes made exclusively from chardonnay.
Saturday morning the Moët & Chandon Masterclass cannot be missed either, and in the afternoon Tom Stevenson, the most praised expert of Champagne region conducts an exclusive Veuve Clicquot tasting. Sunday morning guests can sip Alfred Gratien’s three wines (Cuvée Brut Classique, Brut Millesimé, 1999 and Brut Rosé) that earned five stars in VinCE Magazine’s test last December.
Hidden treasures and wines of celebrities
While most of us have an idea about Champagne, the German Rhineland, the Austrian Wachau, the French Jura or the Burgundy wine regions may be less well-known for many. This time sophisticated wine lovers and hobby tasters may also discover more regions on these classes. Moreover, the international expert of Douwe Egberts will reveal what real coffee passion is and reveal terroir influences with a special tasting of single origin coffees and wines from exotic countries like India and Brazil. Another highlight of the event is the Oscar Gala wine show on Sunday, where you can sip the wines of stars like Brad Pitt, Sting or Iniesta.
