Barceló Plans To Build Hotels In Budapest, CE Region
Spanish hotel chain Barceló is looking to expand across the CE region and is currently scouting locations to build hotels in Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava and Prague. Alejandro Martín Alvarez, Barceló’s director for the Czech Republic, told the server e15 that the hotel operator is focusing on Prague 1 and hopes to buy a new property within a year.

Barceló has been on the Czech market for 20 years and currently operates four hotels in the country: three in Prague and one in Brno.

The new addition will be the largest of the chain’s Czech hotels.

Alvarez adds that Barceló is also considering expanding into regional cities, like Olomouc.
