Barroso Congratulates Hungary’s PM Orbán On Victory

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso has congratulated Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on his Fidesz party’s victory in Hungary’s general election on Sunday. European People’s Party President Joseph Daul also congratulated Orbán on his Fidesz party’s sweeping win.
The French politician warmly congratulated the prime minister and Fidesz on their resounding victory. Daul said the Hungarian nation had renewed its confidence in Orbán, who always told it the truth and carried out brave reforms, putting the economy back on its feet. Daul expressed the conviction that Fidesz would also triumph in the European parliamentary elections.
