Budapest Opera Tribute Concert To Annie Fischer On 100th Birthday

Vásáry called the three-time Kossuth prize-winner Fischer “the world’s greatest pianist” When she appeared on stage “the spirit of the great classics came alive.”
“She spoke the language of the greats,” he said. The concert will feature works by Schubert, Liszt, Richard Strauss, Bach, Mozart and Dohnányi.
The highlight of the evening will be Bach’s arrangement of a Vivaldi concerto in a minor for four pianos performed by Jandó, Kocsis, Vásáry and Falvai with the Solti Chamber Orchestra.
