More Hungarian Tourists In Croatia In H1
The number of Hungarian tourists in Croatia rose by 10.7 percent to 73,600 in the first half of the year, compared to the same period in 2013, the Budapest representative of the Croatian Tourist Board told MTI on Tuesday. The Hungarians spent 6.1 percent more time in Croatia, a total of 290,700 nights in January-June, compared to the first half of last year, Marin Skenderovic said.

In June alone, the increase was 8.6 percent to 47,500, year on year, and the number of nights spent by Hungarians rose by 6.2 percent to 212,800, Skenderovic added.

Skenderovic said there were a total of 1,883,000 tourists registered in Croatia last month, indicating an 8.9 percent increase over the number of tourists in June 2013.

The number of foreign visitors shows an even greater rise of 10.7 percent.
