Hungarian Customs Seize Hats Made Out Of Crocodile Skin
Hungarian customs officers at Budapest’s international airport have seized three hats made out of crocodile skin, the tax and customs office (NAV) reported. The hats arrived in a postal package from Australia last week, the office told MTI.

Crocodiles are a protected species, and in order to import such products a permit based on the Washington Agreement on protecting endangered species (CITES) is required, it said. The customs officers have reported the matter to the police.

The NAV said several similar packages including alligator heads, alligator watch straps and a handbag made out of snakeskin had also been discovered in the recent past.
