Hungarian Govt Prepares Scheme To Promote Electric Cars
The government is preparing a scheme for promoting the use of electric cars in Hungary, the economy ministry’s state secretary said on Wednesday, Hungary’s first Electromobility Day.

The scheme named after Hungarian physicist, inventor and engineer Ányos Jedlik will give tax breaks and other preferences to encourage the use of electric cars, said Béla Glattfelder.

It will allow environmentally friendly cars to use bus lanes and park free of charge at filling stations.

The scheme includes introducing green number plates and building a network of charging points for electric cars along Hungary’s public roads and at public institutions.
