Public Bike Sharing System Launched In Budapest (Finally)
- 8 Sep 2014 4:30 AM
Budapest’s bike sharing system, dubbed Bubi, was launched on Monday. The message of the apple green bikes used in the system is that Budapest is a cycling-friendly city, said deputy mayor Balázs Szeneczey at the opening ceremony in the fifth district.
Mol Bubi represents a new mode of public transport that will enable anyone to hop on a bike, including those who do not have their own bike or commuters to Budapest, he said.
The testing of the system has been “completed successfully, without glitches”, he added.
