Pierre Gest, a group leader for the Operational Safety Review Team (OSART) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), noted that the two-week review was not an inspection, but was carried out with the goal of spreading safe operating practices.

The report summarising the findings of the review will be submitted to the National Atomic Energy Authority in three months, and will be published three months later.

The Paks nuclear power plant will then draw up an action plan for acting on recommendations, and OSART will follow up with a review 18 months afterwards.
